"When you were singing for my little Rex, I saw an image of my baby gently wrapped by your voice, like a blanket. As a tired mom, I felt healed by your voice as well!" - Luna Ren, Walnut Creek, CA

Sound Blankets are informal, often improvised, and individually tailored segments of sounds that carry the essence and structure of lullabies, oriented towards relaxation and nourishment as well as assistance to induce sleep.
Traditional and modern composed lullabies can be incorporated.
Why?
Studies suggest that young children benefit from our singing regardless of how 'good' or trained the voice may be, despite a cultural message that may lead us to believe singing is best kept to the 'talented' few. Singing to your children can be a beautiful component to parenting and building a connection with your child. The singing of lullabies has been a universally observed practice in nurturing children. As our society rapidly shifts away from traditions, less children are receiving this gift.
